Get ready to experience a tantalizing blend of sweet and savory flavors with these Honey Mandarin Pork Tacos! These tacos are perfect for lunch or dinner when you are craving something new. The sweetness of the Honey Mandarins perfectly complements the umami taste of the teriyaki sauce, creating a burst of vibrant but balanced flavor. Crispy French-fried onions add crunchy texture and onion flavor to every bite.

Making these Honey Mandarin Pork Tacos is easy and the recipe serves four, but you could easily double the ingredients to make more. Soft, warm tortillas provide an excellent base for the juicy and tender pork, but traditional crunchy shells work well for these tacos too. Change up taco night and make these Honey Mandarin Pork Tacos soon.

Ingredients

1, pound of thin boneless Pork Loin Chops cut into strips
1/2 Cup Teriyaki Sauce
1 Tbs Canola Oil
3 Garlic Cloves minced
1 tsp Onion Powder
2 Medium Honey Mandarin Oranges, peeled, sliced, seeded, and skinned
(or one 11-ounce can of Mandarin Orange Slices, drained)
2 Cups Romaine Lettuce, shredded
4 8-inch Flour Tortillas (or your favorite taco shells)
1/2 Cup French-Fried Onions
Fresh Lime Juice if desired

Instructions

Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add pork strips and cook for about 5 minutes, tossing to cook all sides. Add garlic, onion powder and teriyaki sauce and stir well. Cook for about 3 more minutes then remove from heat.

Steam or grill flour tortillas, or heat crispy corn taco shells. Fill each taco with the desired amount of pork filling, and then top with lettuce, mandarins and onions. Top with a squeeze of fresh lime juice if desired and enjoy.

Tips

Serve with chips, salsa, and your favorite beans for a traditional meal.
Substitute thinly sliced chicken breast for pork if desired.
Try with other toppings, such as cilantro, sour cream, and grated cheese.
