Perfectly ripe Honeybell Tangelos are one of the citrus world’s most treasured treats. Honeybells are bursting with sweet juice, have few if any seeds, and are wrapped in thin, aromatic, bright orange skins that match the deep orange flesh. They are as beautiful as they are delicious and their juice is second to none.

Fresh Honeybells make this Honeybell Orange Juice Cocktail sweet and refreshing. The combination of Honeybells, apples, pineapple, and carrots makes a sweet juice that is also good for you. This recipe makes about 4 servings, and can be adjusted easily to make more or less depending on your needs. You will need a citrus juicer and a juice extractor machine, but this tangy, refreshing, and healthful juice is well worth the effort. Make some today and enjoy.

Ingredients

3 Ripe Honeybells, juiced and strained
2 Sweet Apples, (such as Gala or Honeycrisp) cored and peeled
1 Cup Fresh Pineapple Chunks
3 Carrots, peeled and tops removed

Instructions

Use a citrus juicer to juice the Honeybells and strain out any seeds. Juice the apples, pineapple chunks, and carrots using a juice extractor machine. Combine all juices, stir well, and refrigerate in a covered pitcher. Stir chilled juice again before serving.

Tips

Experiment with different amounts of each ingredient to make the flavor just right for you.

Substitute Granny Smith Apples for a more tart flavored juice.

If Honeybells are unavailable, you can use any sweet orange instead.
