The goal was to create the best citrus dish. Our grand prize winner was a Citrus Tart!<\/p>\n<h2>How to make a Citrus Tart<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dough:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 Cup Powdered Sugar<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 Cup Unsalted Butter<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 Cup All Purpose Flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Filling:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>16 Oz. Cream Cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 Cup Sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 Tsp. Vanilla Extract<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pittmandavis.com\/navel-oranges\/c\/ft_1001_5\/\">Pittman &amp; Davis Navel Orange<\/a> Zest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Syrup:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 1\/2 Tsp. Cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>1 Cup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pittmandavis.com\/ruby-red-grapefruit\/c\/ft_1001_2\/\">Pittman &amp; Davis Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit<\/a> Juice<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 Cup Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 Tsp. Lemon Juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candied Fruit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 Cups Assorted Citrus<\/li>\n<li>2 Cups Water<\/li>\n<li>2 Cups Sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat over to 350.<\/li>\n<li>For the dough: combine the powdered sugar, butter, and flour. Use hands to mix well. Will be crumbly but will come together.<\/li>\n<li>Take the dough and press into a tart pan. Bake for 20 minutes and let cool.<\/li>\n<li>For the filling, combine the cream cheese, sugar, orange zest and vanilla. Scrape the sides of the bowl and mix until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Spread filling on top of tart crust evenly. Chill for 1 hour.<\/li>\n<li>To make the syrup, combine the cornstarch, juice, sugar, and lemon juice in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thick. Set aside.<\/li>\n<li>To candy the fruit, mix sugar and water in a pan. Stir until dissolved. Bring to a simmer. Place fruit slices into the pan an simmer for 1 hour. Allow to cool on a wire rack.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange candied fruit on top of the tart.
