Serve as dessert with a scoop of ice cream or take them along in your lunch box!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bd c. unsalted butter melted , cooled to room temperature<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd c. granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\u00bd c. all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp. baking soda<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc tsp. salt<\/li>\n<li>2 c. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pittmandavis.com\/bing-cherries\/p\/bingcherries\/\">Pittman &amp; Davis Bing Cherries<\/a>, pitted and halved<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp. cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp. lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. granulated sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 375\u00b0 Prepare an 8\u201d square baking pan by lining it with parchment paper and butter the bottoms and sides. Set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Stir together cherries, cornstarch and lemon juice in a medium-sized mixing bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Stir together melted butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and stir with a fork until crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Reserve \u00be cup of mixture and press remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of prepared pan to form a crust. Spread cherry filling over the crust, then sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over filling. Sprinkle sugar over crumb topping.<\/li>\n<li>Bake bars until golden on top (about 23-25 minutes).
