Serve it on a weeknight over steamed rice or noodles. To spice it up, add more red pepper flakes or a splash of sriracha sauce. For a vegetarian option, make it with tofu or cauliflower.<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<p><em>For the shrimp:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>1\u00bd lbs. medium shrimp, peeled &amp; deveined<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd c. cornstarch<\/p>\n<p>2 large eggs, beaten<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc c. canola oil<\/p>\n<p>Salt &amp; pepper, to taste<\/p>\n<p>1 green onion, chopped for garnish<\/p>\n<p><em>For the sauce:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00bd c. honey<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd teaspoon soy sauce<\/p>\n<p>2 Tbsp. tangerine juice, freshly squeezed (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pittmandavis.com\/sunburst-tangerines\/p\/sunbursttangerines\/\">Pittman &amp; Davis Tangerines<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>2 tsp. dried tangerine zest<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp fresh ginger, minced<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc tsp. red pepper flakes<\/p>\n<h3>Directions:<\/h3>\n<p><em>For the shrimp<\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In a large bowl, season shrimp with salt and pepper. Add the cornstarch and toss to combine.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oil in large saucepan. Dip shrimp in beaten eggs one at a time, then add to pan. Cook over medium heat until golden brown on both sides (about 2 minutes). Transfer to a paper towel lined plate when done.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>For the sauce:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, juice, zest, ginger and pepper flakes. Pour into a skillet and bring to a boil.
