All it takes is a closer look at this fruit to see that it can truly stand up for it's self and claim that title This fruit, originally from southeast Asia, has now found a true home in the Florida sun and now Florida oranges can claim their place at the top of the list of the few perfect foods.

Now of course no food can claim perfection unless it is access able to every one and Florida oranges can be enjoyed by all. Also the calcium helps with bone maintenance, a major concern with the elderly. For those that fall in between there are a myriad of benefits. They can help keep a good LDL-HDL ratio. They help reduce the risk of kidney stones and can even help with a cold. Florida oranges can not cure it but the can make them easier to deal with. They have the ability to reduce the amount of mucus produced. That means your nose will not be as runny.

One of the best things Florida oranges can do is help you come close to the USDA recommendations for a balanced diet. Most Americans have a hard time getting the number of daily servings for fruit and vegatables recommended. If you start off with a glass of orange juice for breakfast then simply have one orange in the afternoon for a snack yo are already getting much close than most people do and you have not made any drastic changes to your routine. Now it is just a matter of eating vegetables and fruit with your meals. It is easy to see why Florida oranges can claim to be a perfect food.
