Bartlett Pear Baby Food Recipe
Preparation Time: twenty-five min.
Ingredients & Tools
5 Pittman & Davis Bartlett Pears, peeled and cored
5 ounces of pure water
Medium-sized Stock Pot
Wash, peel, and core the Pittman & Davis Bartlett Pears. Cut each peeled fruit into about four pieces. Place the cut pears into a medium sized stockpot with a lid, add water, and cook on medium-high for eight to ten minutes, stirring frequently until the fruit is tender. Allow the pears to boil without sticking. Remove pot from heat and set aside to cool. Add the cooked Pittman & Davis Bartlett Pears and water to a blender and blend them until smooth. Pour the blended fruit puree into an ice tray, cover with plastic wrap or foil, and freeze. When you are ready to use them, simply remove the individual cubes and allow them to thaw in the refrigerator before serving. Once thawed, you can also allow them to warm, covered for a few minutes at room temperature.
