When most of us think of drinking citrus juice the first thing that comes to mind is a cold, refreshing glass of orange juice. But this recipe for Honey Mandarin Tea blends sweet orange flavors with honey and spices to make a soothing tea to warm you up morning or night. All of the natural and herbal ingredients are good for you in their own ways, and the resulting taste is its own reward.

This recipe makes one cup at a time, but it can easily be doubled whenever you want tea for two. Gather the ingredients listed and steep a cup of Honey Mandarin Tea soon. Enjoy.

Ingredients

1 Tbs Honey
9 Tbs Mandarin Juice
1 Peeled Mandarin Rind
1 Cup Spring Water
1 Star Anise
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 Dash Ground Nutmeg
1 Dash Cinnamon Powder
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a saucepan, cover, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. When the tea begins to boil, remove lid, stir, and boil uncovered for 30 minutes. Remove from heat, strain, and serve the strained tea hot.

Tips

Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.

Allow tea to cool and serve over ice for the iced version.

Try this same recipe with lemon juice and lemon peel for a unique twist.
