Sweet watermelon balances out the tartness of the lime juice in this refreshing, thirst-quenching summer drink that’s perfect for picnics, outdoor barbecues, or hanging out poolside or on the porch.
Ingredients:
8 c. Pittman & Davis watermelon, cubed
1 c. freshly squeezed lime juice
½ c. sugar
Lime slices, for garnish
Directions:
- Place half of the watermelon cubes in a blender and process until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve set over a large bowl; discard solids. Repeat with remaining watermelon cubes. (You should end up with about a quart of watermelon juice).
- Add lime juice and sugar to watermelon juice; stir until the sugar has dissolved. Transfer to a nonreactive pitcher and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled. Serve over ice with lime slices for garnish.
