This delicious, one-serving smoothie is perfect for giving your immune system the boost it needs to fight off winter sicknesses – and it looks pretty, too! Sweeten with honey if desired, and top with chia seeds for an extra boost of nutrition.
1 Pittman & Davis Cara Cara Navel Orange OR 1 Pittman & Davis Ruby Red Grapefruit, peeled and segmented
1 c. mango chunks, frozen
Juice of 1 lemon
½ tsp. turmeric, ground
¼ tsp. cayenne pepper, ground
¾ c. orange juice, fresh squeezed
2 tsp. ginger, grated
1 small raw red beet, chopped
1 c. raspberries, frozen
½ c. pomegranate juice
Honey, to taste
- Combine mango, lemon juice, turmeric, cayenne, ginger, and orange juice in a blender; blend until smooth. Add honey to sweeten if desired. Pour into a tall glass.
- Combine beets, raspberries, orange/grapefruit, and pomegranate juice. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more pomegranate juice to reach desired consistency. Pour over mango mixture and stir gently to swirl.
